Information Specialist

We are looking for an Information Specialist to join our growing team! The Information Specialist will be at the front line of Start-Up Nation Central’s mission to collect and analyze data about Israel’s innovation ecosystem. The Information Specialist will be responsible for finding, reviewing, and maintaining data presented on Start-Up Nation Finder through active monitoring of all developments in the ecosystem.

The job holder will report to the Data Team Director.

Location: Tel Aviv

Duration: This position requires 2-3 days per week, 9 hours a day.

We catalyze growth opportunities by bringing Israeli tech innovation to global business and societal challenges. Established in 2013 and headquartered in Tel-Aviv, Start-Up Nation Central is a not-for-profit organization funded by philanthropy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and improving information about the Israeli innovation ecosystem presented on Start-Up Nation Finder
• Collecting data through online research and direct communication with companies
• Processing and reviewing data to determine its accuracy and relevance
• Entering up-to-date information into Start-Up Nation Finder
• Assessing products, technologies, business models, and investment statuses

Requirements:

• Extremely detail-oriented
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Thorough online research skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong interest in startups, venture capital, and technology
• Ability to gain familiarity of new domains quickly and comprehensively
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and flexible
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
