Junior Information Specialist Position

We are looking for a Junior Information Specialist to join our growing team! 

The Junior Information Specialist will be at the frontline of Start-Up Nation Central’s mission to collect and analyze information about Israel’s innovation ecosystem.

As a member of the Data and Information Team, s/he will play an integral part in maintaining and developing the information on Start-Up Nation Finder, the authoritative innovation discovery platform dedicated to the Israeli innovation ecosystem.

The Junior Information Specialist will be responsible for finding, reviewing and maintaining data presented on Start-Up Nation Finder through active monitoring of developments in the ecosystem.

Start-Up Nation Central is an Israel-based nonprofit, connecting businesses, NGOs and government leaders from around the world with the Israeli innovation ecosystem.

The job holder will report to the Data and Information Team Manager.

Location: Tel Aviv

Responsibilities:

             Maintaining and improving information about the Israeli innovation 

ecosystem presented on Start-Up Nation Finder

             Collecting data through online research and direct communication with 

companies

             Processing and reviewing data to determine its accuracy and relevance

             Entering up-to-date information into Start-Up Nation Finder

             Assessing products, technologies, business models, and investment 

statuses

  Requirements:

             Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Alternatively, students in their third 

or fourth year of a bachelor’s program

             Extremely detail-oriented

             Excellent writing skills in English

             Thorough online research skills

             Good communication skills

             Strong interest in start-ups, venture capital, and technology

             Ability to quickly and comprehensively attain fluency in new domains

             Self-motivated, goal-oriented and flexible

             Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task 

in a fast-paced environment

             SQL (advantageous)

             Background in technology (advantageous)
