Lab for Applied Networks and Data Science (LANDS)

Welcome to the Lab for Applied Networks and Data Science (LANDS). The LANDS lab focuses on diverse applications of network science especially in social and biological domains.

Lab Head:

Dr. Louis Shekhtman (Information Science, Bar-Ilan)

Lab Research:

Within the social sciences, the lab is especially interested in leveraging the unique public datasets available for nonprofits around the world and building tools to help nonprofits, funders, and other actors fulfill their missions by constructing funding networks, board membership networks, and other metrics and datasets. Within the biological and health sciences, the lab is especially focused on viral dynamics and diseases related to the liver- Hepatitis B, C, and D viruses. These diseases can be modeled using systems of differential equations revealing the mode/s of actions and effectivity of various treatments. Lastly, the lab is also interested in more general applications of network science and data science across diverse domains.
